With a Master’s degree in Journalism and extensive experience as a freelance writer and editor, Alicia has found success across genres including: news, business and finance, government/politics, faith and family as well as blogging. As the Managing Editor of several online news organizations, Alicia has trained and managed personnel from around the globe including the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Africa, China, Europe. Her skills include news writing, press releases, editing (AP Style), interviews, training and management, research, ad copy and writing for websites and SEO. She is well versed in WordPress, and speaks 3rd grade-level HTML. Talented, dedicated, skilled, knowledgeable, reliable, intelligent, friendly, experienced and creative are words previous employers have used when describing Alicia as a professional.
Areas of writing and editing experience include hard news, features, business, finance, current events, history, religion, family and politics. Alicia loves to live a wellness lifestyle. She is a fan of all things fitness, and is a distance runner. She lives in a state of perpetually starting to write (but not necessarily finishing) fiction novels and non-fiction books.
